Recicladores de Huajuapan

Under the Project “Worm-Action Network” implemented in collaboration with the Enactus Group of the Technological University of the Mixteca (UTM), the Municipal Council on Ecology and Environment, and local recyclers, four vermicompost beds were constructed in the second Center of Cooperative Production of Vermicompost at the Integral Center for Solid Residue (CITRESO) in Huajuapan de León.

Villa Zaachila is a highly marginalized Municipality in Oaxaca, were it is common for youth to drop out of school because of their need to work and provide economic support for their families. Lack of studies translates into lack of dignified job opportunities with fair remuneration.
